Audi A8, Part 1

January 26, 2019

They are premium, but are they safe and easy to use? #driverdistraction #usertesting

My #userexperience of the #Audi A8 #infotainment, Part 1

I believe that destination entry should be allowed only when the car is stationary (as per Android Auto) , unless you can use voice commands.

Using A8’s lower screen as touchpad felt unnatural, despite its great performance. I guess in a left-hand-drive car would feel more natural and the performance would be better.

As #humanfactors #UX #UI professionals, it is our #dutyofcare to create systems that are safe, easy and fun, in that order.

Data collection and analysis are from a personal study, if there are any data from controlled experiments, please share. #eyetracking #humanmachineinterface
