Tesla 3 autopilot - when it works well...

April 11, 2019

Tesla 3 Autopilot while "driving" in Germany.

The Autopilot worked very well under low speed traffic, even with temporary lane markings.

It is my opinion that under those circumstances the autopilot/traffic assist is a great feature.

Also, by taking away some of the manual aspects of driving, and probably the least pleasurable ones like driving in traffic, it allows the driver to effectively scan the road and be more vigilant.

Despite the effectiveness of the Autopilot in this case, I always felt the need to be present and I was a little bit anxious of a sudden disengagement.

Many thanks to Scott Hodgins and Jon Ward at Tobii Pro
