Quality of evidence

March 14, 2019

Not all evidence is equal.

Yes, we can do a “quick and dirty” study to reduce our uncertainty and understand how to proceed with next steps.

However, if we need high quality evidence and good strength of recommendation we need to do it properly.

Our job, as human factors professionals, is to find the balance between the perfect experimental design and business needs that want the result yesterday.

Our methods should be: reliable, valid AND sustainable for the business
